Correction of dynamic and static wrinkles

Wrinkles are one of the main reasons for consultations. There are two main categories of wrinkles: dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. In order to reduce wrinkles, we must first define which type of wrinkles we are dealing with.

A dynamic wrinkle is a fold that forms during movement. The loss of elasticity and collagen plays a role in the appearance of this fold. Indeed, a very young skin will remain completely smooth during the frowning of the eyebrows or the contraction of the forehead. As time goes by, wrinkles will deepen and become more and more apparent, especially on the forehead, eyebrows and corner of the eyes.

A wrinkle is called static when it is present at rest. They appear when the skin has lost enough elasticity and collagen for a fold to form durably. In addition, static wrinkles can appear in the same places as dynamic wrinkles, when the latter become deep enough to leave a permanent mark. Static wrinkles are usually disturbing in the cheeks and lower part of the face. They are accompanied by a general sagging of the skin.

In both cases, wrinkles are a consequence of the general aging of our skin, which becomes thinner and marks more easily with time. Thus, to treat wrinkles, we can work on several aspects :

  • It is possible to reduce movement with a treatment using botulinum toxin injections. This slows down the appearance of wrinkles, which become less deepened. Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles and gives a rested appearance to the face. Thus, your skin is rejuvenated by increasing its elasticity and thickness.
  • Another option is to inject hyaluronic acid Dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a complex sugar already present in the human body. Unlike botulinum toxin injections, which relax the muscles to soften the features, Dermal fillers restore the convexity of the facial lines with a natural-looking result.
  • Wrinkles can also be treated with technologies that heat up the skin; such as ultrasound, radiofrequency, pulsed light and lasers. It is important to remember that the skin has the ability to regenerate when subjected to sufficient heat to stimulate its healing.
  • PDO (polydioxanone) threads are also skin stimulators. They are also known as Skin Boosters that stimulate the production of collagen by the simple contact between the dermis and the polydioxanone.
  • The effectiveness of these methods depends on your skin and the result you are looking for. This is why it is important to find the technique that best suits you for a result that lives up to your expectations. This is why the first consultation is free so that we can see together the treatment that is best suited to you.
